Cognitive Issues Workshop

Cognitive/Memory Problems and MS  
~ Who To See and How To Cope ~

The MS Association of King County holds this workshop once a year.  The workshop provides an opportunity to learn how one is evaluated for cognitive impairments and what treatments and therapies may be helpful. It is estimated that 50-60% of people with MS will experience some form of cognitive deficits in their lifetime.

Previous Cognitive Issues Workshops have included speakers:

Rochelle Winnett PhD, ABPP, Rehabilitation and Clinical Neuropsychologist at Virginia Mason in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department.   Roberta Kelley MS/CCC is a speech and language pathologist at Virginia Mason in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dept.

  • Why have a neuropsychological evaluation 

  • What treatments and therapies are available 

  • What compensatory strategies are helpful
