MSA Support Groups Newly Diagnosed/Newly Dealing with MS Support Group Come share and learn about multiple sclerosis with other newly diagnosed people. We'll discuss what it's like to be newly diagnosed and we'll talk about things that you can do right now to improve your health! This group meets once a month from 6:00 -7:30 pm at the MSA office in Fremont (day to be determined by group) and will run for 9 sessions total. This group is still open for more participants. If you are newly diagnosed or newly dealing with your MS, please call Allison Fine at 206-633-2606 for more information.
Living and Coping with MS This support group meets of the first and third Wednesdays from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. The group will explore various topics depending on the interests of the group. The facilitator is counselor Lisa Huang. Limit of 8 people for this 8 week session. Please call the MSA office at 206-633-2606 if you would be interested in attending. First meeting of 2008 will be January 16th.
LGBT MS Support Group If you are a member of the LGBT community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) who has MS, or who cares for loved ones with MS, and would like to meet and learn/share different ways of getting through life with MS, come join us in the LGBT MS support group. This group meets 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Call Lisa Huang at 206-633-2606 or email her at lisah@msakc.org.
Club MS The first meeting will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007, 1pm-3pm at Overlake Terrace Assistant Living (2956 152nd Avenue, NE, Redmond, WA. 98052). Free Valet Parking is available. Club MS, Living, Laughing, and Learning Support Group is a gathering of individuals with MS, family members, caregivers, and/or friends who come together for monthly meetings and monthly social outings. The focus of the MS Club is to provide education, support, and friendship in a relaxed, happy, fun, and safe environment. Club meets at the Highland Community Center, 14224 Bel Red Road, Bellevue, WA 98007. Free handicap parking available.
